A Child's View On Death

They would always ask why,
They wanted to know why so many people had to die.

They would always ask one by one,
Why do my friend always carry a gun?

How come someone has to die?
Why do we always have to say good-bye?

How can we protect ourselves from harm?
How can we stop being so alarmed?

Is there somewhere to get away.
From all the killing in the world today?

Crimes increase in every state,
Too many people are full of hate.

Will we always have to live in fear?
What can be do to stop the crimes from coming near?

Our world has a chance to grow,
If people could learn how to just say no.

If we try we can help people to stay away from dope,
The only way we can do this is not to give up hope.

As long as we can start to be great,
More people will stop being full of hate.

We need to start caring more everyday,
So more people will be kinder in every way
